Registration

1. Select the desired app to be purchased. Subscriber taps the price of app.
2. Subscriber must accept app permissions.
3. Subscriber taps “CONTINUE” to proceed.
4. Subscriber must choose “Enable Sun billing” to register and activate DCB.
5. Fill-out the information required which will be stored in subscriber’s Google account then click SAVE.
6. Google Play shall confirm the details provided by the subscriber. Subscriber is encouraged to read the Terms of Service provided before clicking “ACCEPT”.
7. Google Play shall save the details provided then subscriber may proceed with the app purchase.

App Purchase

1. Select the desired app to be purchased. Subscriber taps the price of app.
2. Subscriber must accept app permissions.
3. Subscriber taps “CONTINUE” to proceed.
4. Subscriber enters his/her Google password and taps CONFIRM.

Note: In case subscriber ticks the Never Ask Me Again checkbox, subscriber will no longer be required to undergo this step on the next purchase.
5. Google Play shall confirm successful payment. Subscriber may choose if he would like to enter his password every time he makes a purchase or every 30 minutes he is logged on instead.
6. Subscriber shall receive a SMS confirmation on the successful payment. Purchase receipt shall also be sent to subscriber’s Google account.

In-app Purchase

1. Subscriber selects in-app digital product then the Google Play payment details page will pop up. Tap BUY.
2. If it is the user’s first time to use DCB, user must enter Google password and confirm. Existing users will be directed to #3.
3. A quick pop-up on successful payment shall be prompted then subscriber will receive a successful SMS confirmation. Purchase receipt shall also be sent to subscriber’s Google account.

App Refund

1. Within 2 hours from app installation, subscriber may go back to the details page of the purchased app to perform the refund. Subscriber taps REFUND to initiate reversal.
2. Play Store confirms the request. Subscriber shall tap YES to proceed with the refund.
3. A quick pop-up shall display successful refund then subscriber will receive a SMS on the successful refund transaction. Refund receipt shall also be sent to subscriber’s Google account.

What is Google Direct Carrier Billing (DCB)? +

Google DCB allows you to use your airtime load or postpaid bill to purchase Premium Apps, Movies and Books on Google Play and in-app purchases on Android apps.
How do I get started? +

To start things off, you have to register your mobile number to your Google account. You can register this by attempting to buy on Google Play or in Apps with in-app purchases. If you haven’t previously linked a credit card, you will be given an option to “Enable Sun Billing”. After selecting this, you will be asked to enter your billing details such as your phone number, name and address. After confirming your details, you will now see “Bill My Sun account”. You are now ready to buy!
What if I already have a credit card linked to my Google account? +

You will be able to change payment method by clicking on the arrow pointing down on the checkout page. Click on “Payment Options” and select “Enable Sun billing” to register your mobile number.
I was asked for my phone number during the registration, is this the mobile number which will be charged? +

No. The mobile number you entered during registration is for labeling purposes only. The mobile number of the SIM in your mobile device during registration will be the one charged for Google Play purchases. It is recommended to enter your respective mobile number in your phone to avoid confusion.
I was asked for a password before I could buy an app. What password do I use? +

This is a security feature provided by android for all Google Play Purchase. You should use your Google account password here. Please secure this at all times.
Is this available on any Android Phone? +

You can only register for this service on android devices with a SIM. Also, this is only available for Android versions Froyo and above.
Will I be charged immediately when I purchase on Google Play? +

Yes. An SMS notification will be sent with the details after every successful purchase.
How can unregister to this service? +

You can remove your mobile number from your google account through Google Wallet. Just log in using your Google Account and remove your mobile number under your “Payment Methods”.
Is there a way to see all my purchase transaction history on Google Play? +

Yes. Aside from your SMS notifications, you can also see all purchases done using your account through Google Wallet. Simply sign in using your Google account and go to your “Transactions”.
Are there additional fees whenever I purchase using my mobile? +

Yes. Local VAT of 12% will be charged on top of the Google Purchase. Total fee will be charged against your mobile number.
How will these purchases appear on my postpaid bill? +

Google Play purchases will be charged on top of your monthly bill. These will be summarized as part of your billing statement as “Google Play Apps” and “Google Play Content.”
Will refunds apply? +

Yes refunds will apply to both postpaid and prepaid subscribers. These will be subject to the refund policy of Google and their developers
I’m a Broadband subscriber, using a Pocket Wi-Fi. Why is there no option on Google Play to enable Sun Billing? +

For Pocket Wi-Fi users, your SIM has to be directly inserted in your device/tablet for Google Play to detect it. Try inserting your SIM in your device to conduct your transaction.
