Sun Cellular Unveils New Postpaid TRIO Plans

Now that it’s already part of the country’s largest telecommunications group, Sun Cellular unveils to the market its newest series of postpaid services with special call and text allocations to Smart and Talk n’ Text subscribers.

"As we synergize with our sister companies in the PLDT Group, and continue to grow our network for wider reach, we will be introducing more and more innovative products and services that offer best value to our postpaid customers,” says Ricky G. Peña, Senior Vice President for Postpaid, Broadband and New Business and Marketing Services of Sun Cellular.

Current Sun postpaid subscribers can avail of the TRIO Text Add-on Plan with 1,000 texts to Smart and Talk n’ Text numbers or the TRIO Call Add-on Plan with 50 minutes of calls to Smart and Talk n’ Text, for only P99 on top of their monthly service fees.

In addition, Sun Cellular also offers the TRIO Combo Add-on Plan with 1,250 texts and 50 minutes of calls to Smart and Talk n’ Text numbers for a minimal P199 upgrade to the monthly bill. To subscribe to any of the add-on plans, just call *687# or text SAP(space)HELP to 2687.

According to Peña, these new add-on plans would yield significant savings on the internetwork correspondence of Sun Cellular subscribers to Smart and Talk n’ Text patrons. “These plans have been designed to give our subscribers as much as 90% savings on texts and will even let them enjoy call rates for as low as P2 per minute,” he explains.

Last year, Sun Cellular has started partnering with Smart to create the Smart-Sun Dual Plan 549 offering which features a dual postpaid subscription to both Sun Cellular and Smart networks.

At present, Sun has been working on further boosting its signal in Luzon and Mindanao. Peña said these network enhancement efforts are being achieved through key synergies and infrastructure support from the PLDT Group.
