Sun Cellular intensifies signal reach in the Ilocos Region
In continuance with its nationwide enhancement program this year, renowned telecommunications innovator Sun Cellular firms up on its network enhancement efforts in Ilocos Region.
Situated at the northwestern side of Luzon, Ilocos Region covers the provinces of Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union and Pangasinan. With its numerous tourist attractions, agricultural lands and port areas, the region is renowned for its significant contributions to the country’s tourism and trade industries.
Sun Cellular then sets off to intensify network developments, which are already underway in the region.
“We continue to make good on our commitment to bring the power of unlimited to as much of the country as fast as we can. From the beaches of Pagudpud in Ilocos Norte, to the cobble stone streets of Vigan or even by the surfing coasts of La Union, our “kakabsats” in Ilocos can now be assured of a better Sun Cellular network,” says Charles Lim, Chief Operating Officer of Sun Cellular. “This would mean a stronger network reach and a more widespread access to Sun’s value-for-money offerings,” he adds.
Lim also shared that these strategic developments would include the boosting of Sun’s network support for both its 2G and 3G services. Especially with the rising demand for broadband and data services, Sun Cellular gears up to cover more areas and cater more efficiently to a greater share of users.
“With the continuous expansion of our unlimited services, and even through our efforts to go beyond with more innovations, we make sure that all these are accessible and relevant to our customers, wherever they are in the country,” says Charles Lim, Chief Executive Officer of Sun Cellular.
Since it joined the PLDT Group last year, Sun Cellular has proactively sought for synergies within the conglomerate. Under the support of its new mother company, the network looks forward to completing the first salvo of its large-scale network expansion this year.
